2004 Youth High Point Champion
Shannon Harris and Visa Gold

Visa Gold, sired by Gold Exchange, former 5-Gaited Golden World Champion, and WGC CH Kiss for Luck, and Shannon Harris have been an exciting team for years. Each year has brought more accomplishments and recognitions than the year before. In 2001, Shannon and Visa competed in eight horse shows, finishing with six championships and five open wins, more than any other 5-Gaited Pony for the 2001 year. Shannon and Visa also finished fifth and eighth at the World’s Championships in Louisville.

This popular team also earned several national and state awards. Shannon and Visa finished as GASHA’s High Point Youth in the years 1998-2004. They were also awarded ASHAV’s High Point 5-Gaited Pony Award for 2001. For the second year in a row, Shannon and Visa also earned a place on the 5-Gaited Pony All-American Team awarded by The National Horseman Magazine. Saddle and Bridle also awarded the pair the Best of Breed award in both the 5-Gaited Pony Open and the 5-Gaited Pony Championship, improving their win of Reserve Best of Breed 5 Gaited Pony Open in 2000.

Shannon trains Visa in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, at Century Equine Center under the direction and guidance of Visa’s former trainer and now mentor and friend. This pair plans to make an even grander splash this year proving a golden saddlebred is the epitome of the American Saddlebred!
